I didn’t like it. Not much of a hot take; it is probably the majority opinion on the internet that it was disappointing.
Yeah, the ending sucked. It’s true, it left things in kind of a cliffhanger without really tying things up when they say there is not another season coming any time soon.
My real problem was the pacing. It was just montages wasn’t it? There were at least three, maybe four. I can’t exactly remember, and I just don’t care enough to go back and check.
People say it sets up stuff that could be important for the DCU later. The problem is, it didn’t finish up its own story lines in a satisfactory way. Focusing on the future at the cost of the present is a real problem that both Marvel and DC films have been dealing with for a while now.
If I don’t enjoy what I’m watching now, why would I look forward to what is coming later.
